Profile

Durham VI Cricket Club began life in the summer of 2010, when we had just a handful of interested players and very little experience. Over the past 4 years, we have built up a squad and now play in the Northern Development League, as well as entering the BCEW David Townley Memorial Twenty20 Cup.

We have taken part in most editions of the BCEW BJMT Development Festival and in the competition’s first year, at York University, we were awarded the Spirit of Cricket Award. (Not bad considering it was the first time the eleven players had been in the same place at the same time!)

During the winter, Durham train indoors at the Durham County Cricket Board’s Indoor Cricket School in Chester-le-Street, and when the weather improves we train at Darlington RA Cricket Club. We have a growing squad, of varying ages and a mixture of male and female, but are always keen to attract new players; whatever their sight category and experience of playing VI cricket.
