2013 BBS Cup Final to be played in Northampton

18th July 2013

Statement from Dave Gavrilovic, Chairman BBS Cricket

I’m very pleased to be able to confirm that the 2013 British Blind Sport Primary Club Heindrich Swanepoel Memorial Cup Final between Warwickshire Bears and Sussex Sharks will be played at the County Ground, Northampton.

Both the England Lions team and the England Womens team have played at this venue in the last three years so it is considered one of the better grounds on the county circuit.

The Full address of the ground is:

The County Ground,
Abington Avenue,
NN1 4PR.

Date: Saturday 10th August
Start Time: 1pm or 1.30pm
Umpires: Roger Barker and Kev Wilson
Scorers: Steve Field & Paul Toplis

In the last few years the final has been staged at Edgbaston, The Rose Bowl and the County Ground, Bristol, amongst other top venues and the County Ground, Northampton, is a welcome adition to this list of high quality grounds. I would like to thank David Smith and his team at Northamptonshire County Cricket Club for supporting this event.
