The 2013 Blind Cricket Fixture list was published recently. The fixture list was as usual drawn up by BCEW General Secretary & England international Dave Gavrilovic after the cup draws were made & before he departed for the World Cup. A few changes have been made to the list as clubs have agreed rearrangements & it is certain more dates will change before the season begins.

To view the full provisional fixture list please click here or in the “domestic” section of this website.

The season starts on Saturday April 27th when Metro host Sussex & last season’s two surprise packages Northants Steelbacks & Hampshire VICC meet in the BCEW National League.

Saturday May 4th sees competitive debuts for Lancashire Lions & Nottingham Knights as they host Durham & Hampshire respectively in the first round of the BBS Primary Club National Knockout Cup. The match of the first round is 7 days later as 2012 Southern Development League Winners Somerset host Northants.

Other interesting games in May include South Wales v Warwickshire & Lancashire v Yorkshire in the league on May 11th & Nottinghamshire hosting Lancashire in both teams Twenty20 cup debuts in the first round of that competition on the 18th.

In June the 8th sees the BBS Cup quarter finals with Warwickshire v Metro the stand out tie. The months outstanding league game could be South Wales v Sussex on the 22nd.

July starts with the BBS Cup semi finals on the 6th before a MASSIVE league clash on the 13th as the two top sides of 2012 Warwickshire Bears & Sussex Sharks face each other in the league.

In August we start to reach the latter stages of all three major competitions, the BBS Cup Final is on the 10th at a venue still to be announced. Saturday the 17th is the date for three Twenty20 Cup quarter finals, all three look like cracking matches, but our pick for match of the round is Hampshire v Northants following their nail bighting clash in the third place play-off of the same competition last season that Hampshire eventually won by 3 wickets.

Saturday 31st August & Sunday 1st September is scheduled to be the final weekend of the 2013 BCEW League, no one match stands out, but if the title is still up for grabs several of these matches could hold enormous interest.

September is the annual BCEW Brian Johnston Memorial Trust Development Tournament before the season comes to an end with Twenty20 Finals Day at Leamington CC on Saturday 21st.
