2015 Finalists to meet in BBS Cup Quarter-Finals

17th November 2015

After contending the second-closest ever cup final in 2015, London Metro will have the chance to avenge their two-run defeat as they host Warwickshire Bears in the Quarter-Finals of the 2016 British Blind Sport Primary Club Heindrich Swanepoel Memorial Cup.

The other Quarter-Final in the top-half of the draw will see Sussex Sharks play host to the winner of the first round match between the newly renamed Durham Vipers and 2015 Development League North and East winners Nottinghamshire Knights.

No team in the lower-half of the draw has ever won the competition before, so this appears to be the most open and unpredictable draw since 2009.

Northants Steelbacks will host 2015 National League runners-up Lancashire Lions with the winner to be at home in the Semi-Finals, a round neither have progressed further than before. The big match in the first round sees 2014’s beaten finalists Somerset VICC hosting 2012 runners-up Yorkshire VICC, with the winner traveling to face Gloucestershire Growlers in the Quarter-Finals.
