BBS Cup Final comes to the Cradle of Cricket

31st July 2015

The 2015 British Blind Sport Primary Club Heindrich Swanepoel Memorial Cup Final will take place at BroadHalfPenny Down in Hampshire.

The ground, which is refered to as the Cradle of Cricket, was at the centre of the cricketing world for 37 years between 1750 and 1787, until the MCC was established. It was also the first stadium to host matches using three stumps - just two had been used before that.

Warwickshire Bears & London Metro will battle for the trophy in the 37th final of the world’s oldest annual disability cricket competition on Saturday 22nd August and this will be the third time the event has been hosted in Hampshire.
