BCEW have made a number of changes to their constitution and committee at a Special
General Meeting held on Tuesday 31st March.

These changes include:

* Changing the quorram for all BCEW meetings to 51%

** Banning elected members of the BCEW Committee from representing clubs at the BCEW AGM or a SGM

*** Making it easier for BCEW to act on reports of a substandard pitch

A number of committee changes have also been made:

* Geoff Smith has moved to General Secretary

** Dave Gavrilovic has taken up the newly created position of Competitions & Technical Director
alongside his role as Vice Chairman

*** George Ferguson has been elected to the newly created role of Welfare & Safeguarding Director

**** Colin Baxter has been elected to the newly created role of Governance Director

These changes were part of adopting a new version of the charities constitution that aims to simplify and
enhance the BCEW committee’s ability to manage the off-field aspects of blind cricket.

BCEW Vice Chairman Dave Gavrilovic commented: “I would like to welcome George Ferguson and Colin
Baxter to the BCEW committee. Both join us with a wealth of experience and knowledge of the roles that
they have taken up and will I’m sure significantly increase the committee’s skill set.

"I also think the changes to quoracy levels at BCEW meetings were essential for the smooth running of the
charity as potentially as many as seven development clubs will become full voting members of the charity
at the end of this season, which made it crucial that we created an achievable level of attendance to make
our meetings quorate.

"I would also like to thank Geoff Smith and Colin for working with me on the new version of the
constitution, their work on this was extremely valuable to BCEW.”
