Warwickshire aim for a treble at Twenty20 Finals Day

16th September 2015

Warwickshire Bears head to BCEW David Townley Memorial Twenty20 Finals Day on Saturday 19th September looking to make up for a trophyless 2014 by completing their second treble in three years.

The Bears have already completed a dominant BCEW National League campaign that saw them seal the title by a massive 28 points as well as claiming the BBS Primary Club Heindrich Swanepoel Memorial Cup, in which they edged out Metro by just two runs.

With defending champions Somerset VICC already out, it is certain that the trophy will change hands with National League runners-up Lancashire Lions, BBS Cup runners-up London Metro and 2014 BBS Cup winners Sussex Sharks ensuring that the Bears will face exceptionally strong competition for the trophy, no matter who they are drawn against in the semi finals.

Twenty20 Finals day again takes place at North London Cricket Club and this year's event is set to be an emotional one, as it is the first T20 Finals day since BCEW Chairman David Townley passed away. DT had organised this event since its inception and both of his sons will be present at the event, where the trophy will be contested for the first time under its new name.
